The 1981 Datsun 280ZX had the LR160-82 model. The 1982 -1983 Datsun 280ZX used the LR160-82B model. These alternators use an Internal Voltage Regulator. The output of alternator at 2500rpm ( 1200 rpm of engine) is 50A at 14.4V – 15V. The output at 5000rpm is 60A 14.4V -15V
