You need a nice harness for a good harness rebuild. Butchering of the harness can be easily repaired. If the harness has had a short to ground on the main 8ga wires, the harness is useless. Send them to me I reuse the good wire to repair harnesses. If you remove the loom tape, you will probably discover that all the wires at the short have melted together. The labor to replace all these wires far exceeds the cost of a used harness that can be purchased on eBay or elsewhere.
The ID tag is wrapped into the harness loom tape. Clean with dish soap and water, brush lightly. Do not use solvents to clean this, you will wiper the ID number right off! The id tag is usually near passenger headlight circuit connectors.
I do not have the 10 terminal connectors in stock, message me if your interested in these.
I replace the terminals and clean connectors up and reuse them. Installation of the rubber firewall grommet must be done before the terminals are inserted into the connectors.
Please note how I wrap the separate branches with electrical tape. You need to keep the wires together and tight. After removing the old harness tape, tape your branches and mark your junctions and taps.
I get fancy with the tape so when I rewrap the harness I can wrap each branch separately and keep the overall appearance as professional and original looking as possible.
Wrapping the harness properly takes time and patience. Your covering about 40 ft of wire about 3/8″ at a time. Take your time, keep your tape straight and wrap it tight. Start with the front and work towards end. Get your technique and pace established, doing the smaller branches with only a few wires can wear you down. If your hands are getting tired take a break, be patient. I wrap the harness twice, the 2nd time is easier. Because you took the time to wrap it tight and kept the tape straight, not jumbled, crunched or folded

All views are looking at front of connector at the terminals, unless noted otherwise. I mark same color wires at a connector with colored electrical tape to differentiate the same colored wires. The color designation for tape is outside the connector.
